User Agreement

01 - Acceptance

By creating an account, you agree

When you create a buduss account, you confirm that you have read and agree to be bound by this User Agreement, the Terms & Conditions, and the Privacy Policy. Together, these form the agreement between you and buduss LLC ("buduss") for your use of the service. If you do not agree, please don't create an account.

02 - Eligibility

You're 18 or older

buduss is for adults. You confirm that you are at least 18 years old and legally able to enter into binding agreements. If you're using buduss for a business, you confirm you're authorized to accept this agreement on its behalf.

03 - Authorship

You are the author of what you send

buduss helps you assemble and format proposals, contracts and invoices - but the documents are yours. You decide what they say, what they cost, and who receives them. You are responsible for reviewing each document and for its accuracy, completeness, and legality before you send it.

04 - Responsibilities

Your responsibilities as a creator

As a creator using buduss, you agree to:

• Provide accurate information about yourself and your studio, and keep your account secure.
• Use buduss lawfully, and only for documents and engagements you're genuinely entering into.
• Respect your clients' privacy and handle their information responsibly - you control your clients' data, and buduss processes it on your behalf.
• Honor the commitments in the documents you send, and resolve any dispute over goods, services, or payment directly with your client.
• Seek independent legal advice where appropriate, since buduss does not provide it.

05 - Binding

The documents you generate are real

A proposal or contract you generate and send through buduss, once signed, is intended to be a legally binding agreement between you and your client - backed by electronic signatures valid under the US ESIGN Act and applicable state UETA laws, and recorded with a full audit trail. Treat every document you send as the real, enforceable thing it is meant to be.

06 - The tool

buduss is the tool; you are the author

buduss is a software tool, not a law firm, and does not provide legal advice or representation. Using buduss does not create an attorney-client relationship. Templates and formatting are starting points you adapt and stand behind. This applies equally to a contract you upload to send for signature as-is and to a proposal buduss generates or extracts from a document you provide: buduss does not review or verify that content, and you are responsible for reviewing it before it goes out. The relationship and the agreement created by a signed document are between you and your client - buduss is the instrument, not a party.

07 - Your account

Keeping it yours

You're responsible for activity under your account and for keeping your login details private. Don't share your account, and tell us promptly if you suspect unauthorized access. Your content - including your clients and signed contracts - remains yours, and you can export it as the product allows.

08 - Changes & ending

Updates, and stopping

We may update this agreement from time to time; when changes are material, we'll update the effective date and, where appropriate, let you know. You can stop using buduss and close your account at any time. The relevant parts of the Terms - including ownership, disclaimers, and liability limits - continue to apply to your prior use.
